Dada Dish Vol. 20
a round up of the things i'm obsessing over so you can obsess over them too
Hi everyone!! Was this a crazy long week or just me? I had a super busy week then hopped on a plane yesterday to now be currently reporting live from Aspen where I’m here for the Food & Wine Classic. I got here yesterday afternoon, and I’ve never been to Aspen or to the event, so I’m excited.

My sister was meant to come with but wasn’t able to, so I’m vibing it out solo. You guys know I love a solo trip and take myself on an annual one, but I will say that sometimes it feels more nerve wracking for me to go to a huge event not knowing anyone than it is to go to a new country that I’ve never been to. BUT it’ll be nice to see what Aspen is like! I’ve heard the altitude is kind of gnarly so I wish I packed myself some electrolytes along with my 9,000 travel snacks but…here we are.
It seems like you guys have been enjoying the Dada Dish letters, which is awesome for me because whattttt do ya know, I love sharing them! It feels fun to let you guys into these things that I love and use / wear / consume on the daily, inside and outside of the kitchen. So without further ado here it goes!

my most complimented lip combo

So I have become very obsessed with lip liners and using them as lipsticks and layering twelve different products in a row, so much so that when people ask me what my lip combo is, I genuinely am not sure what to tell them day to day because I’ve been experimenting so much I forget. So let me just tell you about this product that has been a feature of ALL of them. I don’t know what this brand puts in this product but it is truly, truly amazing. This is the Lip Frame defining lip liner from VERSED and it feels like a cross between a chubby lip pencil and a creamy lipstick but it’s not drying & perfectly pigmented, so you can blend and smudge. It’s the tiniest but somehow most mighty little product in my makeup bag right now. I should also say that I’ve been impressed by everything I’ve tried from this brand.
& on that note… best hybrid lip gloss / balm I don’t go anywhere without

I’ve said this before and i’ll say it again, this is the best lip balm / gloss / hybrid everything situation. I think my routine gets a bit more minimal in the summer so for me, it’s this with a little of this Rhode blush, this Jones Road mascara, and I am good to go. It plumps, smoothes, hydrates, what more could you want.
the most versatile summer top

In my journey to inject more color and joy into my wardrobe (but mostly color because I do derive a sick amount of joy from my millions of button down but it is time to diversify) this top has become my new favorite. It’s so pretty as a daytime top paired with these Gap Jean Shorts that I have to FORCE myself to not wear everyday, or at nighttime to a cocktail event (I wore this to a party at Nine Orchard the other night!) I’ve actually been into some of the pieces at Free People - because the price point for most of their pieces isn’t very high, it feels like a low stakes place to buy some fun things and experiment.
the most beautiful vase of all time

You guys might have seen this identity shoot I did with Two Odd last year, produced and directed by my friend, Akshita, whose brain works in such incredible ways I simply cannot understand it. No one dresses a table like her, period - and she’s also just the coolest and kindest person. I think every person needs to have one of these bangle vases on their coffee tables or dining tables - for themselves or even for a gift. This bangle vase is an ode to such an iconic piece of adornment in South Asian culture, and the way Akshita created this into a centerpiece is just so unique and special.
the easiest pull-on summer pant

In the summer, the best thing I can ever do for myself is find a pant that I can just pull on, is breathable, and with a slightly lighter fabric so I don’t pass out in the heat. Sometimes you’re just not in the mood to wear shorts or a skirt! These pants from Gap are my new favorite and I already know I’ll be wearing them to death this summer. The color is this rich moss green, they’re sooo insanely comfortable, and I love the barrel leg look. They look polished and casual at the same time.
&& finally - 4 U to make this weekend!!!!!
leaving you with a couple recipes for your weekend that I know you’ll loveeee. Hope you enjoy and sending a big hug from Colorado! See you next week. xoxoxo
